Vaccinations

 We offer a number of vaccinations with no appointment required, Monday through Friday before 4:00. We may have additional openings later in the day and on weekends, but be sure to call and make sure a vaccinating pharmacist is on duty.

  • Vaccines are biological preparations that introduce weakened or inactivated forms of pathogens (viruses or bacteria) into the body with the purpose of stimulating the immune system to develop immunity without causing illness.

    Many vaccines achieve over 90% protection rates, saving millions of lives worldwide.

    Common Misconceptions:

    • Vaccines do not cause autism

    • Vaccines are not linked to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome)

    • Vaccines do not weaken the immune system

    Flu vaccines are typically no cost to insured patients.

    In Missouri, most vaccines do not require a prescription.

    Vaccine technology is ongoing. Advancements aim to develop more effective and convenient vaccines.

    • You can download the Vaccine Consent Form to print and complete in advance to reduce wait times in the pharmacy.

    • To further reduce wait times, call us at 417-881-8822 to have us begin processing your vaccine through your insurance.

    • Wear clothing that allows easy access to the injection site, typically the upper arm. Examples include: short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts and loose-fitting clothing. Consider layering a cardigan or jacket when the weather is cool.
